Lower Appalachia is the land of the original frontiersmen and America's Volunteers. We were known to be a rugged people willing to put in a hard day's work in the field or the mill to give the next generation a chance to achieve even greater things. Our small businesses are today what our farms and factories were back then -- vessels to provide for our communities.

As a values-based business, ALG pledges 10% of net profits towards giving back to the local community in Lower Appalachia through charitable giving. Giving efforts include grants to non-profit businesses of employees' interests, paid days of community service for our employees to give back to the community with their time, and contributions toward a scholarship fund by which employees and their families can earn scholarships for themselves or their beneficiaries to gain post-secondary education.
